Government & Succession
Traits
Demo Patch 7 distinguishes 25 internally predefined Personality Traits from custom traits for Factions, Cultures, Religions, and Races. Personality Traits could not be created or edited in that version’s Trait Editor; the four social categories could.

Personality versus custom traits
The patch gives the count and editing scope, but does not publish all 25 personality names or their individual values.

Votes and political decisions
Personality Traits influence how characters evaluate situations, vote, and make decisions. Government determines whose personalities matter for a faction-wide decision: citizens in Democracy, Zone Leaders in Round Table, the Faction Leader in Dictatorship, and the Monarch in Monarchy.
War choices and restrictions
Personality and Faction, Culture, and Religion Traits influence aggression, peacefulness, preferred War Goals, risk-taking, and endurance during war. A trait that prevents a faction from starting wars is respected.
Race restrictions and diplomacy
When one faction disallows another faction’s primary Race, trade between the factions is blocked and hostility increases.
