Government & Succession
Succession
Zone titles use hereditary succession. Under Monarchy, the faction throne is hereditary as well. Demo Patch 7 considers children first, then siblings, spouses, House Heads, and eligible claimants. It does not publish a sorting rule within each group.

Which titles are hereditary
Zone titles are hereditary across the published system; the faction-wide throne is hereditary when the government is Monarchy. Rulers and Zone Leaders have designated heirs and recorded succession histories.
The published heir-group order
| Priority | Heir group |
|---|---|
| 1 | Children |
| 2 | Siblings |
| 3 | Spouses |
| 4 | House Heads |
| 5 | Eligible claimants |
Claims and gaps in the ordering rules
Former rulers and displaced houses may keep temporary claims to lost titles, and these can affect later succession. The announcement does not specify claim duration, every claimant-eligibility condition, child age or gender preference, or tie-breaks within a group. The groups table cannot tell you which person within the same group inherits first.
What a new Monarch changes
An inheriting Monarch becomes the actual Faction Leader. Their Personality Traits therefore influence future kingdom decisions. Follow rulers, heirs, titles, claims, and family relationships through the Faction, Zone, and Character Inspectors.
